The Crystal Beer Parlor has been a favorite restaurant of Savannahians since 1933. It was one of the first American eating establishments to serve alcohol after the repeal of Prohibition.
Located on the corner of Jefferson and West Jones, in the historic downtown area, the Crystal Beer Parlor is definitely old-school Savannah.
The entry walls are covered with photos of famous and infamous citizens and scenes from Savannah’s past.
Crystal has an extensive craft beer list and a nice bar area.
Although they are known for their huge, juicy, delicious burgers, their fries and crab stew are also fabulous! Check out the menu which is loaded with seafood, salads, soups, and lots of Southern faves. Don’t don’t forget to try the must-order dessert–Gawgia Peach Cobbler.
The Classic Crystal Burger is soooo good y’all! It is a 1/2 lb of grilled ground chuck with all the condiments. I understand why this burger is so popular.
