It’s chilly, so we’re roasting…Oysters, that is! Doesn’t a little nip in the air make you want to heat things up? Lucky for us we’re right here where the sweetest, plumpest oysters get plucked right from our Tybee waters. It’s going to be another big weekend here, so we figure once you’ve run as many as five of the events for the Critz Tybee Run Fest, lined up for the premiere of Sponge Out Of Water that was shot on Tybee Island and in Savannah, shopped the Tybee Arts Association Show & Sale, and tromped from bar to bar with your Bridal Party Gone Wild ,you’re going to need to refuel!
Our good friends at Captain Butlers are hosting the Lazaretto Creek Boat Club Oyster Roast this Sunday, February 8th. Belly up for some shucking and jive around 1 p.m. The event kicks off with Danielle Hicks LIVE from 1PM-4PM and Damon and the Shitkickers LIVE from 4PM-7PM. In between, there’ll be all you can eat oysters and chili dogs to benefit Tybee and Wilmington Island Wishes. There will be a fire pit outside near the playground, as well as seating inside around a huge fire. Pack your pockets full of green backs and plastic because you’ll want to shop during their amazing silent auction!
Won’t this be fun? It’s best to register in advance, but you can also just pop in when you get there. Again, it’s at Captain Butler’s at 115 Penrose Dr., Savannah GA 31410). This is a family fun event, so all ages are welcome. It costs just $25 for everyone 15 & up, $10 for kids 14 & under and it’s free for children 5 and under. Tickets at the door on Sunday will be $30.
It’s all about enjoying great people doing great things for a very worthy cause. Yep, it’s chilly, so we’re roasting! Give us a call at Tybee Joy Vacations are book directly online. See you this weekend!
